Revolution Technologies : As a business analyst, you are responsible for gathering and analyzing data, then presenting it to company stakeholders. You’re not making decisions or deciding how to move forward with your analysis–you’re providing recommendations.

The skills that make someone a great analyst include being able to communicate well (both verbally and in writing) and work well in groups or independently. You need to be able to understand what’s going on within your company’s organization structure so that you can present information accurately while also getting everyone on board with your findings.

As an analyst liaison between technical teams and business teams, you’ll be working closely with both sides of the equation: understanding their needs as well as ensuring they have access to everything they need from each other (which may include detailed specifications).

Revolution Technologies : The business analyst profession is expanding. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the demand for business analysts has grown by 19% since 2010, making it one of the fastest-growing occupations in America. As more companies realize how valuable a BA can be, they’re hiring more BAs and creating new positions within their organizations.

This explosion in demand has several causes:

  • Businesses are becoming increasingly tech-focused and therefore need people who understand technology better than they do–and that’s where you come in! You’ll help them understand what tools work best for their needs and why those tools work best, as well as how technology affects their business strategy overall.
  • Businesses also need technical skillsets like yours because many companies want to expand into new markets but don’t have enough expertise on hand yet; this means bringing on board more people with specialized skillsets such as yours so that everyone can get ahead faster together!
